Deborah Hoenig

Nurse Practitioner

Deb Hoenig has had a long career in medicine, always having the desire to serve others by providing quality health care, especially in rural areas. She spent 16 years working as a radiation therapist and medical dosimetrist in radiation oncology before attending nursing school. She received her BSN from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and worked as an RN for 8 years before receiving her MSN in Family Practice, also from UAH.

Deb has provided care as a Nurse Practitioner at Urgent Care Centers and Family Practice Clinics near her home in Alabama since 2016, as well as practicing rural medicine in WA, VT and AK. She is so grateful for the opportunity to have worked at Camai over the last three years and has become more and more invested in this community’s health and well-being.

By developing a treatment plan that aligns with each patients’ goals and desires through evidence-based practice, Deb is committed to making each clinic visit a satisfying and effective experience.

Deb is a lifelong learner and is always up for an adventure. She has provided medical care to folks in Africa and Central America, rode her bicycle across the USA and traveled to over 40 countries. While at home, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, as well as cycling, reading and gardening.
